With the COVID-19 Pandemic having a profound impact on us all and most certainly impacting our ability to gather together in traditional fashion, the Mercy Foundation put a health-conscious spin on our biennial Taste of Merced fundraising event this year. What is usually celebrated as a gathering of 500 of our dearest friends and supporters in downtown Merced's Bob Hart Square, was converted to a fun and festive home-delivery experience! 

On September 25, bites from local restaurants were safely packaged and delivered directly to the front doors of our event sponsors and participants using our contactless delivery method.

Participants were encouraged to tune in that evening to our virtual event program which featured tasting reviews from participating restaurants, special messages from Mercy Medical Center physicians, nursing staff, and patients regarding the wonderful work happening at Mercy's Family Birth Center, as well as an exciting cake decorating challenge. The votes are in and congratulations to Team 2, Yolanda Brewer and Satvir Arias, for creating the winning cake of the evening!
